Kyrgyzstan has become one of the top five partners in Uzbekistan's foreign trade, the press service of the State Committee of Uzbekistan on Statistics reported.

Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover in January-June 2019 amounted to $19.68 billion and grew by $4.52 billion, or 29.8% more than in the same period last year.

The main partners in the export of goods and services in foreign trade turnover were China (19.0% of total exports), Russia (13.6%), Kazakhstan (8.1%), Turkey (6.8%), Kyrgyzstan (4.5%), Afghanistan (3.1%) and Tajikistan (1.7%).

According to the data of the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Uzbekistan, in 2016 the trade turnover between the two countries amounted to $192.3 million, in 2017 - $309.9 million and in 2018 - $336.5 million.

The Kyrgyz, Uzbek leaders have set themselves the task of bringing the volume of trade turnover up to USD 500 million.

In January-June 2019, Uzbekistan had trade relations with more than 166 countries.
