The trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan has increased by 200 times, Alexander Dadayev, Chairman of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, head of the delegation said at the plenary session of the Intergovernmental Kyrgyz-Turkmen Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical and Humanitarian Cooperation.
He stressed if before trade was only in one direction, now two sides are involved.
Dadayev said Turkmenistan is transitioning to a market economy.
“If private business was 1% before 2008, today it's 64%. It's all thanks to the policy of our president,” said Alexander Dadayev.
In addition, the head of the Union of Entrepreneurs and Industrialists of Turkmenistan said the Turkmen side is ready to consider opening a direct flight. However, he stressed that it is necessary to consider the profitability of these flights and fill them with goods.
The head of the Turkmen delegation expressed his position on trade in the national currency and said their side is ready to work 50/50 in manats and soms.
